Astronomical, iconography and “god” links between Early Egypt and Sumeria

This article will discuss the Shen symbol as held by Enlil but also features prominently in Egyptian culture as Pharao cartouche as an astronimical star observing and navigational device such as a later astrolab or sextant. This is briefly discussed in my “The creation of god article” found here.

It shows the links between the Aker symbolism and shamash being between the two hills as an iconographic exchange between these two cultures.

Lastly the allready established links between Khnum and Enlil as also described in my “The creation of god article” linked above.

These examples prove early connections between Egypt and Sumeria.
